    • It was formally launched by Narendra Modi on 9 May 2015 in Kolkata
    • It is available to people between 18 and 50 years of age with bank accounts
    • It has an annual premium of ₹436 
    • GST is exempted on Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana
  • Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)
    • It is a government-backed accident insurance scheme in India
    • It was originally mentioned in the 2015 Budget speech by Finance Minister Late Arun Jaitley 
    • It was formally launched by Narendra Modi on 8 May 2015 in Kolkata
    • It is available to people (Indian Resident or NRI) between 18 and 70 years of age with bank accounts
    • It has an annual premium of ₹20 
    • GST is exempted on Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana
  • Atal Pension Yojana (APY)
    • It is a government-backed pension scheme in India
    • Ministry of Finance
    • It was launched by Narendra Modi on 9 May 2015 in Kolkata
    • Its main objective is to help towards economic security of those people who become depressed after their working age and take retirement from professional life
    • All subscribing workers in the age group 18-40 are eligible for pension of up to ₹5,000 per month on attainment of 60 years of age
  • Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) 
    • Launched on 18 February 2016 by Narendra Modi is an insurance service for farmers for their yields
    • Aims to provide a comprehensive insurance cover against failure of the crop thus helping in stabilizing the income of the farmers
    • The scheme is being administered by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare
  • Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is an ongoing Indian Railways mission launched in February 2023 by the Ministry of Railways to redevelop 1275 stations nationwide

  • The National Action for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem or the NAMASTE Scheme is a testament to the Government’s human-centric approach where no sanitation workers have to manually engage in the hazardous task of sewer and septic tank cleaning operations
    • Jointly initiated by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the NAMASTE scheme will be implemented by the National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC) for a period of three years from FY 2023-24 to FY 2025-26, with a budget allocation of 349.73 crores
  • PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP)
    • Launched on 13th October 2021 for providing multimodal connectivity infrastructure to various economic zones
    • Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) accorded approval for the implementation of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan on 21st October 2021
    • PM Gati Shakti is a transformative approach for economic growth and sustainable development. The approach is driven by 7 engines, namely:

  • Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)/Swachh Bharat Abhiyan/Clean India Mission

    • Aims to eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management and to create Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages
    • The program also aims to increase awareness of menstrual health management
    • Aims to achieve SDG 6 (6.2)
    • The mission was split into two: rural and urban
      • In rural areas "SBM - Gramin" was financed and monitored through the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (now merged with Ministry of Jal Shakti) 
      • "SBM - urban" was overseen by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
  • Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) - Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency
    • Launched on 8th April 2015 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the aim to facilitate easy collateral-free micro credit of up to ₹10 lakh to non-corporate, non-farm small and micro entrepreneurs for income generating activities
    • The loans under PMMY are provided by Member Lending Institutions (MLIs), i.e., Banks, Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) and other financial intermediaries
    • Shishu: Allowed loans up to ₹50,000
    • Kishor: Allowed loans up to ₹5 lakh 
    • Tarun: Allowed loans up to ₹10 lakh

  • Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao - 22 January 2015
    • Ministry - A joint initiative of MoWCD, MoHFW and MoE
    • Sukanya Samriddhi Account was launched on 22 January 2015 as a part of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign
    • The scheme currently provides an interest rate of 8.2%
    • The scheme encourages parents to build a fund for the future education of their female child
  • Scholarships for Higher Education for Young Achievers (SHREYAS) scheme is a program that offers scholarships to students from Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and Economically Backward Classes (EBCs)

  • PM-PRANAM (PM Program for Restoration, Awareness, Nourishment and Amelioration of Mother Earth)
    • 1st announced in the 2023-24 Budget by the Union government
    • Aims to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers by incentivizing states to adopt alternative fertilizers
    • The scheme will be financed by the savings of existing fertilizer subsidies under schemes run by the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers
  • UNNATI scheme 2024 - Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme (NE regions) - For development of industries
    • The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) will implement the scheme in collaboration with states, overseen by national and state-level committees
  • ADITI scheme - Acing Development of Innovative Technology with iDex (750 Cr) - Launched by Rajnath Singh
